Vodafone says Verizon in talks to buy Alltel (Reuters)
Reuters - Britain's Vodafone confirmed on
Thursday that Verizon Wireless, in which it has a 45 percent
stake, is in advanced talks about buying U.S. rural mobile
service provider Alltel Corp.
